Sevenoaks District Council are under direction from Central Government to increase the number of sites for possible housing developments. The link below gives access to locations that have been offered by landowners as having potential for housing and that have been collated and circulated by the District Council. The Parish Council are monitoring the proposals for their impact on the Green Belt and other local interests.

Vacancy, Parish Clerk

Sundridge with Ide Hill Parish Council wishes to appoint a Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to an interesting and varied position working closely with the Council to secure its aims and objectives and to assist with community projects.

The successful applicant will have to demonstrate drive, determination, administrative experience, IT, organisational & inter-personal skills.  Knowledge of Local Government preferable, training where necessary will be provided at the cost of the Parish Council.

Working as Parish Clerk for Sundridge with Ide Hill Parish Council will involve keeping accounts, preparing budgets and statutory statements, preparing agendas and producing minutes for our monthly council meetings plus occasional committee meetings, updating the website, responding to correspondence and managing the Council assets.

This is a part time position for approximately 16 hours per week, negotiable upon employment.
